Target Awards RUSD $100,000 to provide technology to support reading

RUSD is proud to announce the receipt of a $100,000 grant that focuses on improving reading at the kindergarten level at Castle View and Washington Elementary schools.  Eight kindergarten classrooms will receive five iPads for small group in class instruction as well as each student will be provided with  an iPod touch to take home. In addition parents will be provided with training and support in the use of technology to support reading skills.  The grant will include dual language immersion classes at each site as well. RUSD would like to thank Target for its ongoing support and look forward to great success with our Kindergarten students at Castle View and Washington!
